What makes a good email signature
- Short: name, title, company, one phone number, website. Three to five lines.
- Readable fonts: email apps show only fonts installed on the reader’s device, so signatures use web-safe fonts: Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, Georgia and friends. Fancy Google Fonts won’t survive the trip.
- One accent color from your brand, used for your name or links.
- Images hosted online: a headshot or logo must be a link to an image on the web, kept small (under ~100 KB).
- One call to action at most: “Book a call”, “See our menu”.
| Element | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Font size | 13-16 px |
| Headshot | 80 × 80 px (upload at 160 × 160 for sharp screens) |
| Logo height | about 30-40 px |
| Total width | under 600 px |
